WATCH D.O.G.S
(DADS OF GREAT STUDENTS)
Englewood Hills Elementary is participating in a great new program called "WATCH D.O.G.S." (Dads of Great Students). Watch D.O.G.S. is a national program that started as an effort to reduce or prevent violence in schools. It is a program that has evolved to give dads, granddads, uncles, and other father figures the opportunity to have a voice and presence in the school during the day by volunteering. Englewood Hills is proud to bring this worthwhile program to our school! Our Watch DOGS greet students when they arrive at school, monitor hallways and entrances, assist at lunch and recess, read to classes, work with students on special projects and homework, and assist the school staff with dismissal at the end of the day. Their response to the program has been very positive and all have seemed to enjoy being part of our school.
Contact "TOP DOG" Molly Holt (mholt@northmontschools.com) or Principal, Mrs. Richardson (mrichardson@northmontschools.com) to ask questions, or sign up!

Our program was kicked off on Thursday, January 22, 2009,with over 100 Dads showing up with their children to enjoy pizza and learn about the program. The excitement and enthusiasm was amazing. We have a WATCH DOG signed up for each day for the rest of the year. Click here for the monthly schedule of our Watch DOGS.
